| CODE BLUE 20x24 Digital Illustration Sold at Manifest Hope: DC Yosi Sergent the producer of Manifest Hope invited Voto Latino to submit an art piece at the Art Show. I am the graphic designer at Voto Latino so I was asked to pick one of three themes that they were advocating in the art show. Health Care Reform, Workers Rights or the Green Economoy, I chose Health Care Reform because I was inspired by the song "Alone with out you" by Tom Morello. A song about Americans in this country that are sick of being sick. The name of the piece is "Code Blue" a slang term used by medical professionals to indicate that a patient requires immediate resuscitation. In my piece it means we need to bring health care back to to a level where it works for all. The hands reaching to the sky from the city represent the American people that need health care. The fist in the air represent the people fighting to get us health care. The cross above with the four hand, represents Health Care for all. |
